Dzianis Dzemukh was detained on October 4 after the March for the Release of Political Prisoners in Minsk.
He was initially sentenced to 13 days of detention on "illegal protesting" charges. After serving the sentence, Dzemukh was re-arrested and charged under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code.
On March 9, 2021, Judge Aleh Kaliada of the Zavodski District Court of Minsk sentenced Dzianis Dzemukh to 1 year and 6 months of imprisonment.
On December 27, 2021 Dzianis was released after having served his sentence and having spent almost 15 months behind bars.
