Dziyana Zavadskaya was detained under two articles of the Criminal Code: Article 342 (Organization or active participation in group actions that grossly violate public order) and Part 2 of Article 361-3 (Participation in an armed formation or armed conflict, military actions, recruitment or preparation of persons for such participation).
Dziyana was the head of a team of testers at EPAM before her detention. She left for Tbilisi with her 7-year-old son after the outbreak of the war, but eventually decided to return to Belarus, although she occasionally traveled abroad.
On February 26, 2024, Judge Mikalai Sianko presided over the case of Dziyana in the Brest Regional Court.
