Artur Zhvirydouski is from Astraviec, Hrodna region. The Astraviec District Court sentenced him to three years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony under Part 1 of Article 339 ('Hooliganism') and Article 370 ('Desecrating the state symbols') of the Criminal Code.

Zhvirydouski was convicted of allegedly hanging a white-red-white flag on a school building in June 2021, and also painting white-red-white stripes on a stone. In addition, he allegedly removed a red-green flag from a government building.

In mid-December 2021, it became known that Artur Zhvirydouski was transferred from Prison #1 in Hrodna to Prison #2 in Babrujsk, Mahilioŭ region.

In April and May 2023, the political prisoner spent 50 consecutive days in a punishment cell.
