Artsiom Takarchuk is a 34-year-old architect from Minsk.

On November 20, the Centraĺny District Court of Minsk convicted Talarchuk under Part 2 of Art. 363 of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 3 1/2 years in prison for resisting a military conscript during the March of Heroes on September 13 in Minsk.

Artsiom was detained twice and badly beaten in both cases. The first time he had stitches on his head, the second time he was diagnosed with a concussion, a closed head injury, numerous hematomas all over his body. The alleged victim did not seel medical assistance and was not injured.

In his last word, Artsiom asked not to send him to prison, but to let him do his favorite job - architecture. He has participated in international competitions and has a diploma from the Minister of Information for the project of the Belteleradiocompany building. The alleged victim, soldier Maksim Charniakou, also asked the court not to imprison the architect.

On January 6, 2024, Takarchuk was released from prison.
