Artsiom Karachun was arrested on August 5, 2021. His apartment was searched.
After 10 days in a temporary detention facility, Karachun was transferred to a pre-trial detention center and charged under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code (organization or active participation in group actions that grossly violate public order).
On November 8, 2021, the Frunzienski District Court of Minsk sentenced the political prisoner to 3 years of restricted freedom in an open penitentiary. The convict was released in the courtroom to wait for an appeal hearing.
