Andrei Asaula was sentenced to three years in an open penitentiary. However, he did not go to serve his sentence, but was detained on May 4, instead, and charged with three more offenses: Art. 369 ("insult of a representative of the auhtorities"), Part 2 of Art. 368 ("insulting the president") and Art. 364 (“violence or threat of violence against a police officer”).
On August 6, 2021, Judge Anzhela Kastsiukevich of the Zavodski District Court of Minsk sentenced Asaula to three years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
