Andrei Trusau was convicted of helping to organize protests that "grossly violated public order" (Part 6, Article 16 and Part 1, Article 342 of the Criminal Code) and "possession of drugs" (Part 1, Article 328 of the Criminal Code).
Trusau was arrested on May 26, 2021 after he sent a video showing the movement of police vehicles to the Telegram channels Nexta and Nexta Live. However, during a search at his apartment, the police found about two grams of marijuana, which he himself gave to law enforcement officers during the search.
On October 15, 2021, the Centraĺny District Court of Minsk sentenced Andrei Trusau to 2 1/2 years in a general-security penal colony.
