Andrei Sinitsa is from Babrujsk, Mahilioŭ region. He was detained on the morning of March 10, 2023, after a search at his home. They kept him in the detention facility for 5 days, and only on March 15 was his trial held. Andrei Sinitsa was accused of "disseminating extremist materials" under Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offences. Judge Alena Hormash found Andrei guilty and arrested him for 15 days.

It became known that Andrei Sinitsa was never released—he was detained for another 10 days under Article 108 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Detention on suspicion of committing a crime). Later it became known that he had been charged under Article 342 of the Criminal Code (Organization and preparation of actions grossly disrupting public order or active participation in them).
