Andrei Navakouski was detained on February 24, 2022, at his home, after a search. When they knocked on his door for a search, he was at home with his mother. When officers in civilian outfits attacked him, he was sleeping, and when he woke up, he pushed one of them. After that, Navakouski was severely beaten.
A criminal case was initiated against him under Art. 342 ('Active participation in group actions that grossly violate public order') and under Art. 366 of the Criminal Code ('Violence or threat of violence against an official'). The judge Anastasiya Papko sentenced him to three years of imprisonment in a penal colony.
