Andrei Kolas is a resident of Brest sentenced to three years of restricted freedom in an open correctional facility ("khimiya") in a criminal case for hanging a protest effigy (Part 2 of Article 339 of the Criminal Code, hooliganism committed by a group of persons).

According to the investigation, on October 23, 2020, Yuliya Bodak and Volha Zavadskaya made effigies out of garbage bags, plastic bottles and dry vegetation and brought them to the place of "execution" outside Brest. Andrei Kolas hung it together with an "unidentified person", whom he met in a Telegram chat.
