Andrei Hapiyenka was detained in Homieĺ for publishing comments on the Internet in connection with the deaths of IT worker Andrei Zeltser and KGB agent Dzmitry Fedasiuk.

At the end of September 2022, Judge Ruslan Tsaruk of the Homieĺ Regional Court convicted Hapiyenka of ‘incitement to social hatred’ (Article 130 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced him to 24 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
