Aliaksei Kireyeu was detained on October 28, 2022. After 10 days in a detention center, he was remanded to a pre-trial detention center under the charges of participation in the protest actions in 2020 (Article 342 of the Criminal Code, 'Organization and preparation of actions grossly breaching public order, or active participation in them').
On February 10, 2023, in the Saviecki District Court of Minsk, Judge Aliaksandr Volk found Kireyeu guilty and sentenced him to 24 months of imprisonment in general security penal colony.
