Aliaksei Kamarouski was convicted under Article 364 (Use of violence or threat thereof against an internal affairs officer) and Article 365 (Disrupting the work of an internal affairs officer) of the Criminal Code for attempting to escape violent policemen on 10 August 2020, by maneuvering in a vehicle, which was deemed a threat to an internal affairs officer.
The trial began on February 9, 2023. On February 17, 2023, in the Saviecki District Court of Minsk, Judge Alena Zhukovich sentenced Aliaksei Kamarouski to four years of imprisonment in a maximum-security penal colony and compensation of moral damages to the policeman in the amount of 3,000 Belarusian rubles.
