Aliaksei Arlou was arrested on May 15, 2023, on charges of 'financing extremist activities' (Article 361-2 of the Criminal Code) for donating to a foundation recognized as an extremist organization. Before that, in April 2023, Arlou was detained by GUBAZiK (Interior Ministry's Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption) and sentenced to administrative imprisonment.
