Aliaksandrа Kasko was arrested upon her return from Poland. She is charged under Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code for two interviews with an information source recognized as an extremist formation. She is also charged with managing an "extremist" telegram channel.
She is detained in prison no. 1.
On September 12, 2023, the KGB put Aliaksandra Kasko on the "terrorist list".
Kasko was included in the list of Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens and stateless persons involved in extremist activities.
Aliaksandra is charged under eight articles of the Criminal Code:
- Part 3 of Article 130 (incitement to hatred);
- Part 3 of Article 203-1 (illegal actions with respect to information about private life and personal data);
- Article 361-1 (creation of an extremist formation, or participation in it);
- Article 361-4 (promoting extremist activities);
- Part 2 of Article 367 (slander against Lukashenka);
- Article 368, Part 1, 2 (insulting Lukashenka);
- Article 369 (insulting a government official);
- Article 391 (insulting a judge).
On November 27, 2023, Aliaksandra's trial began in the Hrodna Regional Court. She faces up to 12 years of imprisonment. The case is heard by Judge Dzmitryi Bubenchyk.
On December 19, 2023, Aliaksandra was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment.
Aliaksandra was escorted from prison No. 1 to penal colony No. 4.
On April 12, 2024, she was included in the "list of extremists" by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
