Aliaksandr Mishuk is the chairman of the Independent Trade Union at Belaruskali. He was detained on May 25, 2022, after a search in his office. It became known that afterwards Aliaksandr was placed in the detention center and charged under Article 342 of the Criminal Code (organization or active participation in group actions that grossly violate public order).
Eventually, Aliaksandr was charged under part 3 of Article 361 of the Criminal Code (encouraging restrictive measures (sanctions), other actions aimed at harming the national security of the Republic of Belarus).
On 15 November 2022, Minsk Regional Court Judge Viktoryia Paliashchuk found Aliaksandr guilty and sentenced him to two years and six months of imprisonment.
