Aliaksandr Milasheuski was arrested and remanded in pre-trial detention for commenting on social media on the deaths of Andrei Zeltser and a KGB officer on September 28, 2021.

On November 30, 2022, the City Court of Minsk heard the case. Judge Sviatlana Charapanava found Milasheuski guilty under Art. 369 ('Insulting a government official') and Part 1 of Art. 130 ('Incitement of social enmity') of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 24 months of imprisonment in a general regime penal colony.

Aliaksandr Milasheuski has served his full sentence and was released in late January 2023.
