Aliaksandr Maliauka is 61 years old. He was convicted by the Hancavičy District Court (Brest region) under Part 1 of Article 368 ('Contempt of the president of Belarus') and Article 370 ('Desecration of the state symbols') of the Criminal Code. Judge Aksana Zotkina considered the case from April 27 to June 1, 2023.

Pro-government Telegram channels reported that Maliauka posted insulting messages about Lukashenka and expressed support for Ukraine in the war with Russia.

On July 20, 2023, Aliaksandr Maliauka was included in the 'List of Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens, and stateless persons involved in extremist activities'.
