Aliaksandr Lychauka is a local historian and journalist from Minsk.

He and his wife, journalist Sniazhana Inanets, were arrested on October 6, 2022. The criminal case against them apparently stemmed from their participation in the 2020 protest and subscriptions to the Telegram channels, which the Belarusian authorities recognized as extremist.

On January 13, 2023, the Piervamajski District Court of Minsk tried their case. Aliaksandr Lychauka was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to three years of home confinement.
