Aliaksandr Kudlovich, a photographer from Baranavičy, was detained on June 16, 2022. He was forced to leave for Russia because of political persecution in 2020, but because of an expired passport and the outbreak of war, he returned to Belarus in May.
He is charged with Article 368 (insulting Lukashenka) and Article 369 (insulting a government official) of the Criminal Code.
On August 17, 2022, the Baranavičy District and Municipal Court found Aliaksandr guilty and sentenced him to two years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
