Aliaksandr Yunitski was sentenced on June 11, 2021 to two years of restricted freedom in an open penitentiary (“khimiya”) by the Svietlahorsk District Court under Art. 369 of the Criminal Code for insulting a police officer in online comments.

In August 2020, Yunitski posted a one-word comment “scum” as a reaction to a post on the Odnoklassniki social media, which argued that police inspector Major Andrei Bahrayonak participated in the dispersal of peaceful assemblies and fined motorists for honking in solidarity with the protesters.

On September 11, 2023, it was reported that Aliaksandr was released from jail. He served his sentence in full.
