Aliaksandr Ivanou

Aliaksandr Ivanou was detained on November 23, 2021, as part of a criminal case brought under two articles: Article 339 ('Hooliganism') and Article 342 ('Group actions grossly violating public order') of the Criminal Code.

On July 7, 2022, Ivanou was sentenced to 20 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.

On August 19, 2022, Ivanou was transferred from the pre-trial detention center in Žodzina to penal colony #2 in Babrujsk. It is known that the penal colony administration placed him in a cell.

According to the human rights defenders, in January 2023, the administration of the Babrujsk penal colony placed Ivanou in a cell for several months, that is, until the end of his sentence.
