Aliaksandr Yemialyanau is 34 years old, he is from Minsk. He was accused of 'incitement of other social hatred and enmity' (Part 1 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code) and 'contempt of the president of Belarus' (Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code).
In early 2023, the KGB put his name on the 'List of persons involved in terrorist activities'.
The court sentenced Yemialyanau to three years imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
The trial took place from January 25 to January 27, 2023, in the Minsk Regional Court. Judge Alena Misnik tried the case.
Yemialyanau's cell phone was confiscated for the state's benefit under a special procedure as a means of committing the crimes.
He was pardoned and released on September 16, 2024.
