Aliaksandr Tsymbalist was detained in a criminal case initiated by police for comments on the Internet after the murders of KGB officer Dzmitry Fedasiuk and IT specialist Andrei Zeltser in the Minsk apartment.

Aliaksandr Tsymbalist was detained on charges under Art. 369 (Insulting a police officer) and Art.130 of the Criminal Code (Inciting social hostility).

On October 17, 2022, Judge Vera Halaukova of the Minsk Municipal Court found the political prisoner guilty and sentenced him to 19 months of imprisonment. Given the time spent in pre-trial detention, the political prisoner had only a few days left to serve.

On October 19, 2022, Tsymbalist was released from prison No. 8 in Žodzina.
