Aliaksandr Tsyhankou is a software engineer from Mahiliou. He was detained in October 2022 for participating in the protests in Minsk in 2020.

Tsyhankou was transferred to remand prison #1 in Minsk and charged under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code ('Active participation in group actions that grossly disrupt public order').

The case was considered in the Lieninski District Court of Minsk. On January 19, 2023, Judge Yuliya Shchotkina found Tsyhankou guilty and sentenced him to two years of restricted freedom with a referral to an open-type penal facility. He is released from custody until the referral to the penal facility.
