Aliaksandr Baranouski allegedly provided funds to support extremist activities (Part 1 of Article 361-2 of the Criminal Code) and to finance the participation of citizens of the Republic of Belarus in armed formations and military actions in a foreign state (Part 2 of Article 361-2 of the Criminal Code).
On November 22, 2023, Baranouski was sentenced to five years of imprisonment in a medium-security penal colony. The case was presided over by Judge Iryna Tsiaplova in a closed court session.
He was pardoned and released on September 16, 2024.
