Aliaksandr Balonkin is a design engineer at Naftan and the deputy head of the independent trade union of Naftan workers. He was detained on September 27, 2021 at his workplace under Art. 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. Aliaksandr was arrested for 15 days.
In August 2023, he was detained along with other members of the independent trade union "Naftan": Volha Brytsikava and Aliaksandr Kukharonak. Balonkin is charged under Art. 361 of the Criminal Code.
