Aliaksandr Katovich, a citizen of Ukraine, was convicted in Minsk City Court under Part 1 of Article 130 (incitement of racial, national, religious or other social enmity or discord), Part 3 of Article 361-1 (creation of an extremist formation or participation in it), Part 1 of Article 368 (insulting Lukashenka), Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code (slander against Lukashenka).
He was held in Prison No. 4.
From March 25 to 28, 2024, the case was considered by Judge Sviatlana Charapanava. She sentenced Aliaksandr 5 years' imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
