Cases: The round dance case

Alena Lyskovich is a defendant in the "round dance protest" case opened after the events of September 13, 2020 in Brest, when the protesters got out on the roadcross and were dispersed by a water cannon.

On May 7, 2021, Ina Klyshpach, a judge of the Maskoŭski district court of Brest, sentenced Lyskovich to 18 months of restricted freedom in an open-type penal facility.

On July 26, Alena Lyskovich started serving her sentence. On the same day, her daughter, a former political prisoner Viktoryia Lyskovich, began serving her sentence, but later she managed to flee abroad.

It is known that on October 30, 2022, Alena Lyskovich was detained within the open-type penal facility. As a result, she was fined for 'Distribution of extremist materials' under Part 2 of Art. 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

Alena Lyskovich served her full term. On January 25, 2023 she was released.
