Aleh Zavadski was accused of publicly insulting Lukashenka under Part 1 of Article 368 ('Contempt of the President of Belarus') and Part 1 of Article 130 ('Inciting other social enmity or enmity') of the Criminal Code.
On February 15, 2023, the KGB added Aleh Zavadski to the 'List of persons involved in terrorist activities'.
On March 31, 2023, in the Hrodna Regional Court, Judge Vital Kulesh sentenced Zavadski to three years and six months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
He was pardoned and released on September 16, 2024.
