Aliaksei Maksiukou, a resident of Minsk, was detained in April 2022. The pro-government Telegram channels reported that he allegedly took part in the August 2020 protests and blocked the traffic. He was charged with Article 342 of the Criminal Code (Organization or active participation in group actions that grossly violate public order).

On July 1, 2022, the Maskoŭski District Court of Minsk passed a verdict in the case of a political prisoner. Judge Tatsiana Pirozhnikava sentenced him to three years under home confinement.
