On October 2, 2023, Ala Zuyeva was found guilty under Article 369 (insulting a government official) and Part 1 of Article 368 (insulting Lukashenka) in the Court of Babrujsk and Babrujsk District and sentenced to two and a half years in a general-security penal colony. She was ordered to pay 1,850 and 2,000 Belarusian roubles for moral damages to two victims.
The verdict was announced by Volha Serakova.
Ala suffers from leukemia, but the court did not take this into account when sentencing her. The political prisoner believes that her sentence is comparable to a death sentence.
On December 1, 2023, the MIA added Ala to the "list of extremists".
In early 2024, it was announced that Ala had been transferred to penal colony No. 4.

She was pardoned and released on August 20, 2024.
