Aksana Lakoza is a native of Ukraine but has Belarusian citizenship.
On May 16, 2023, she was convicted for participating in the 2020 protest marches under Article 342 of the Criminal Code of Belarus ('Organization and preparation of actions grossly disrupting public order or active participation in them').
She was sentenced to 18 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
