Dzmitry Furmanau is a member of the nomination group of presidential nominee Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya. He was detained during an election picket in Hrodna on May 29. Furmanau faced charges under Part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code (organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order).
On June 2, 2021, Judge Volha Bekushava of the Kastryčnicki District Court of Hrodna sentenced Dzmitry Furmanau to two years in a general-security penal colony.
Furmanau was released on October 21, 2021.
