Viktoryia Hrankouskaya

Viktoryia Hrankouskaya is a former BNTU student who was expelled during the autumn 2020 protests in Belarus. The girl was arrested on November 12 as part of a criminal case under Art. 342, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (organization or participation in group actions that gravely violate public order).

Viktoryia later faced formal charges. She was first taken into custody in the KGB pre-trial prison, but then was transferred to pre-trial detention center No. 1.

On July 16, 2021, Hrankouskaya was sentenced to two years and six months in prison.

The political prisoner served her sentence in full and was released on November 30, 2022.
