Illia Shakovich was arrested on September 21, 2022, at his workplace. His place of residence was searched. The next he was sentenced to administrative arrest, after which he was not released. A criminal case was brought against him under Article 342 of the Criminal Code (‘Group actions grossly disrupting the public order’).
In early May 2023, he was sentenced to restriction of freedom under home confinement.
