Tatsiana Yekelchyk is a student of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of the Belarusian State University. She was detained by KGB officers on November 27. Before that, her house was searched, during which her smartphone and laptop were confiscated.

From the KGB pre-trial detention center, where Tatsiana was detained for the first few days after her arrest, she was transferred to the pre-trial detention center in Valadarski Street. She is facing charges of group actions that grossly violate public order (Article 342 of the Criminal Code).

On July 16, 2021, Tatsiana was sentenced to two years and six months in prison.

Tatsiana Yekelchyk served her sentence in full and was released on December 23, 2022.
