Mikalai Saseu was detained on the night of August 12 together with Uladzislau Karetski as part of the "rioting case". Saseu was later charged under Art. 293 of the Criminal Code.
He was held in pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Minsk.
On June 10, 2021, Judge Sviatlana Bandarenka of the Maskoŭski District Court of Minsk sentenced Saseu to five years in a medium-security penal colony.
