Mikalai Kavaleuski

On October 12, 2021, Mikalai Kavaleuski was convicted of insulting a riot police driver and sentenced to 18 months of restricted freedom in an open-type penitentiary under Article 369 of the Criminal Code ('Contempt of a government official').

On January 17, 2022, he started serving his sentence in open-type penal facility #26 in the Hrodna region but was soon transferred to open-type penal facility #24 in Hrodna.

On July 5, 2023, Mikalai Kavaleuski was released having served his full sentence.

He was included in the 'List of Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens, and stateless persons involved in extremist activities'.
