Mikalai Havarko was detained on October 8, 2021 under Art. 369 of the Criminal Code, for insulting a government official.
According to the prosecution, on July 18, Mikalai Havarko posted a video on his Instagram account, in which he was talking about two policemen from the Biaroza office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Security Department. The video contained photos of the policemen.
Mikalai Havarko was sentenced to three months of arrest and 1,500 BYN (about 520 EUR) in compensation for moral damage.
He served his sentence in full and was released from the detention center.
