Maryna Darashuk is a defendant in a massive criminal case opened after the events of September 13, 2002, when several hundred protesters were dispersed by a water cannon and faced charges under Part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code.

On June 8, 2021, Siarhei Maruchak of the Brest District Court sentenced Darashuk to 18 months of home confinement (“domashnyaya khimiya”). The convict was released in the courtroom.
