Yury Serabro was sentenced on August 13, 2021 to one year and six months of imprisonment in a penal colony by the Kastryčnicki District Court of Viciebsk under Part 1 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code for insulting the president.
He was found guilty of posting a comment on a social media site on March 1, 2021, which insulted Lukashenka. “A filthy creature cannot be a king, Lucifer in human form,” the comment read. Serabro said that he was emotional, because he had to look for work in another country.
