Yury Bandarenka is a resident of Minsk detained on April 9, 2021 in a criminal case under Article 342 of the Criminal Code (organization or active participation in group actions that grossly violate public order).

On August 16, 2021, the Pieršamajski District Court of Minsk sentenced Bandarenka to three years' imprisonment in an open correctional facility ("khimiya").

The convict was released to await an appeal hearing.

Bandarenka left the country fearing imminent imprisonment.
