On August 8, 2023, Yauhen Butaikis was convicted of distributing information products that were included in the republican list of extremist materials under administrative articles 19.1 and 19.11. After receiving the administrative punishment, a criminal case was brought against him for his participation in the 2020 protests.
He was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months of home confinement under Article 342 of the Criminal Code.
