Yana Barysovich

Yana Barysovich is a student. She was detained on February 22, 2022, when the apartment where she lived with her mother and sister was searched. 

Yana was charged under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code (Organization or active participation in group actions grossly violating public order) and placed in custody.

On May 31, 2022, the trial against Yana and her sister Tatsiana started at the Zavadski District Court of Minsk. On June 1, Judge Aleh Kaliada found both of them guilty and sentenced Yana Barysovich to 2.5 years and Tatsiana Barysovich to 3 years of restricted freedom in an open-type penitentiary.
