Cases: Protests in Minsk

In October 2020, Iryna Pazniakevich was detained allegedly for participation in protests, writes "Nasha Niva". In February 2021, she moved to Russia. The term of her legalization expired on January 14, 2024, but she did not leave Moscow.

In October 2024, Iryna was tried in the Mikulinsky District Court of Moscow. She was sentenced to a fine of 5,000 Russian rubles (about $50) and deportation from Russia, and was then sent to a pretrial detention center in Minsk.

Iryna's trial begins on March 3, 2025. She is charged with "gross violation of public order" under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code.
