Ina Shyrokaya is a mother of many children. She was detained in Hrodna on March 6, 2022, and accused of participating in the 2020 protests under Article 342 of the Criminal Code ( group actions that grossly violate the public order).

In 2020 Iryna was fired from the local cafe where she worked as a manager for her civic position.

On July 26, the Lieninski District Court of Minsk found Ina Shyrokaya guilty of ‘actively participating in actions that grossly violate the public order’ under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code and sentenced her to three years of restricted freedom under home confinement.

On July 26, the Lieninsky District Court of Minsk found Ina Shyrokaya guilty of ‘actively participating in actions that grossly violate the public order’ under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code. Judge Anastasiya Achalava considered the case.
