Cases: The round dance case
Ihar Siamykin is involved in the so-called "round dance case". On September 13, 2020 demonstrators in Brest gathered in the central intersection of the city, they were dancing a round dance and singing songs until a water cannon arrived and the security forces began detaining the protesters.
On August 30, 2021, judge Dzmitry Kurouski sentenced Ihar to one and a half year of "khimiya" under Part 1 of Art. 342 of the Criminal Code.
On December 11, 2021 Ihar began serving his sentence at the penitentiary No. 48.
