Ihar Liashchenia is a Belarusian diplomat who served as Belarus's ambassador to Slovakia.

After the undemocratic presidential election of August 2020, he condemned violence against the Belarusian people and protesters, and later took part in a series of political initiatives.

On August 11, 2021, Liashchenia was arrested and placed in a temporary detention center in a criminal case under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code (group actions grossly violating public order).

Liashchenia was released on August 20, but remained under travel restrictions.
