Dzmitryi Kazakou was convicted under Part 1 of Article 368 and Article 369 of the Criminal Code. On May 24, 2023, Judge Maksim Trusevich started hearing Dzmitryi's case. On September 18, 2023, Dzmitryi was sentenced to imprisonment and sent to an open penal facility (khimiya).
On June 23, 2023, he was added to the list of Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens, and stateless persons involved in extremist activities.
